CIMEX DWS220 is a professional wall and ceiling sander designed for everyday professional use. Drywall Sanders (called Giraffe Drywall Sanders or Sanders for walls and ceilings) is an indispensable assistant for finishing interior works. An important rule when working with a Drywall Sander is that the surface should be dry to avoid wet material to block in the sandpaper. When the giraffe sander is attached to a vacuum cleaner, the extracted material is sucked out and container collected. In this way, machine dust contamination is minimized. The proper vacuum cleaner also assists in Drywall Sanders to stick on the wall surface. Thanks to the created vacuum it is reducing efforts during sanding.

Design and operation of CIMEX drywall giraffe sander - powered by a 710-watt electric motor that transmits movement through a gearbox via a flexible shaft to the hinged grinding head. To achieve maximum grinding efficiency, the engine is equipped with constant electronics and a speed controller of 1000-2200 rpm. With the bottom positioned motor (Handle mounted motor) this Drywall Sander has several main advantages - better balance of the machine and less effort in the grinding process. Unlike sanders with upper positioned motor (located directly above the head), the bottom motor positioning lightened of the grinding head. Thanks also to vacuum cleaners’ suction power the effort during grinding is less. Every operator is insisting to have low weight, so not tiring out quickly.

There is soft handle, providing excellent grip to the operator and it is placed in the middle part of the machine. The Drywall Sander’s starting switch for the electric motor is located next to the handle.

Our product has a built-in LED light in front of the electric motor.  Convenient apple hinge at the base allows easy guiding and fixing. The presence of this LED light allows the operator to visualize gravel surface without stopping the grinding process.

The sanding head is attached via cardan connection therefor the movement is in all directions. Thanks to that the surface adaptation is easy and precise in every angle operator works on. The comfort and movability of this giraffe sander are ideal for long-time professional use.

On the grinding head of the Drywall Sander is attached a Velcro, helping pads to placed easy and secured. The diameter of the sanding head is 225 mm. Over the entire radius of the grinding head we placed a brush ring. The brush ensures dust removal during the sanding process and keeps every one of the particles inside the sanding head. Thanks to that the vacuum cleaner is extracting dust more efficiently also providing better vacuum on the head of the Drywall Sander.
